Bentley University Waltham Massachusetts

Bentley University has a bit of an interesting history due to the fact that it was moved! It was founded back in 1917 in Boston’s Back Bay, but then was moved to the suburban town of Waltham in 1968. Aside from the somewhat nomadic history, Bentley University is one of the nation’s top business schools and individuals come from around the world to learn how to do business within the halls of Bentley.

Bentley is mainly considered a business school, and thus most of its undergraduates are enrolled in one of its eleven programs leading to a bachelor in science. For those who would like to have a more traditional liberal arts education and still afford themselves Bentley’s title, there are also six programs that lead to a bachelor in arts. For those who are already past their undergraduate days, Bentley University offers plenty of postgraduate programs as well, from those who are seeking a masters to those looking to obtain their PhD.

Bentley is also unique due to its focus on technology. Every student who comes in gets a computer during his or her orientation process, and with this computer they learn how to negotiate the enormous amounts of technical resources available to students at the college. This has put Bentley a step above many of its competitors, particularly due to the fact that the pace of business has gone wireless. This allows students to get used to working and relying heavily on technology during their school years.

Bentley is also a joy to visit due to its stately New England campus. If you happen to find yourself around the area of Waltham, it is most definitely worth your while to take a stop on the grounds of Bentley for a stroll. The campus is divided into three areas: Upper Campus, Lower Campus, and North Campus. The area of most interest to viewers will likely be Upper Campus, as this is where all of Bentley’s fine academic buildings are located, and the green is one of the best in Massachusetts. Check out Bentley when you’re in New England and see what the fuss is all about!
