End of Fuller Street near Lighthouse Beach
Edgartown (on the island of Martha’s vineyard), MA O2539
One of Massachusetts’ isolated paradises comes in the shape of Martha’s Vineyard. This popular island destination has a modest year round population of 15,000 residents, but that number tends to quadruple, or more, during the warm summer months. Those who have visited will not find this number surprising, however, as one step on the island’s sandy beaches will have you hooked.
Among those sandy beaches is the Fuller Street Beach, with its subtle waves and scenic shores creating a gorgeous sight for all. There are many beaches to choose from within Martha’s Vineyard, but many prefer this one because of its unique charm and provided facilities. There are even numerous hotels nearby to satisfy all of the travelers coming to enjoy the Atlantic shores.
One big draw of Fuller Street Beach, especially for those traveling with children, is the Ryan Family Amusement Center. Located a skip and a jump away from the beach, this exciting location offers a number of rides, as well as numerous games, for the whole family to enjoy. Take a spin on the carousel or try to win a gigantic teddy bear before lounging on the soft sands of the beach!
Also nearby is a popular bowling alley, where you can challenge your friends or family to a game or two. Trade Center Bowl is a meeting spot, as well as a place of recreational value, and many youth enjoy spending time here with their peers. Those looking for something a little more outdoors-y may prefer Pond View Farm, which is open regularly for those interested in learning more about horse back riding.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, there is even more entertainment to explore in this area! It is nearly impossible to get bored at Fuller Street Beach because you are always within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, and let’s not forget the New Seabury Country Club, which offers a full golf course.
Many people enjoy exploring the nearby attractions, but many are satisfied to simply spend the entire day on Fuller Street Beach. Sunbathing and swimming are popular here, of course, but this beach also offers unmatched views of Mill Hill. Watch the waves roll in and soak in the backdrop of scenic beauty as you lounge all your worries away!
