A summer adventure at Killington is driven by boundless outdoor opportunities and the sights, sounds and charm of small-town Vermont. Killington is located in the heart of the Green Mountains, which makes it the ideal place for a low-key, yet high-value summer vacation.
Killington Resort consists of six mountains with a network of 140 alpine ski and snowboard trails. Five of the six mountains are utilized in the summer and include 45 miles of mountain biking terrain and hiking trails. Killington is the largest destination resort in the Eastern United States, offering the highest gondola-serviced alpine adventures in New England. The mountains are as follows: Killington Peak, 4,241 ft, Snowdon, 3,592 ft, Rams Head, 3,610 ft, Skye Peak, 3,800 ft, Bear Mountain, 3,296 ft, and Sunrise Mountain, 2,456 ft.
The highest gondola-serviced point in New England, the K-1 Gondola travels 1.25 miles to the top of 4,241-foot Killington Peak, which is the highest point in New England reachable by aerial lift. From the summit, you’ll see a breathtaking panoramic view of five states (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, New York) as well as Canada.
Skiing is not all Killington offers, by far. Killington’s Kona “Groove Approved” Mountain Bike Park offers the ultimate summer lift-served mountain biking experience. Killington Resort features 45 miles and a 1,700-foot vertical drop spread across five mountain areas, all served by the K-1 Gondola. The Resort offers everything from classic cross-country single track to challenging big-bike downhill and free riding trails. In addition, be sure to check out the Skills Area located in front of the K-1 Lodge, as well as the multiple and various man-made and natural attractions throughout the hiking trails.
